Word just in that Sydney Hunter III, who served as chef Ludo Lefebvre's sous chef at L'Orangerie and Bastide, and also worked the line during several LudoBites pop-ups, will be the chef de cuisine at the forthcoming Petit Trois. Hunter most recently served as executive chef at Cafe Pinot downtown.
Petit Trois is the newest project from LA's three reigning food dudes — Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook, and Vinny Dotolo — and is one of this year's most eagerly anticipated openings. With construction complete and a health permit in place, Petit Trois should open next door to the impossible-to-get-into Trois Mec later this month. The chefs are currently testing and tasting recipes for a menu rumored to be "French with an American accent."
