Tipsy Cow is finally up and running in L.A. After taking over the longtime La Pergola space on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, the owners spruced up the joint with a much more casual neighborhood drinking vibe, and are soft open as of yesterday. The dinner and drinks spot is pushing lots of craft beer, from big names like Goose Island and Unibroue to locals like Figueroa Mountain, plus the requisite burgers and bar snacks. The whole thing is being run by Peter Brill of Big Wang's fame, with daily hours from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The restaurant swaps along Ventura Blvd. continue, with Spitting Chicken Cantina becoming Tipple & Brine, Señor Fred making way for Marlin and Ono Grille, and everyone waiting for the eventual Joan's on Third. —Farley Elliott
