Olive & Thyme in Burbank Looking Toward August Debut

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Olive & Thyme's new location in Toluca Lake/Burbank on Riverside is coming along nicely, with a debut planned for the first week of August. Though they broke every sweat and cried every tear to build out their current location, the landlord decided to hike up the rent and effectively kick them out. Thankfully for owners Melina and Christian Davies, this new space will be much larger, with a similarly clean, bright aesthetic. At the moment, the storefront and millwork are getting full remodels while ceilngs and drywalls are settling in.

As for the menu, Joe Marcos, formerly with The Spice Table, is helping to boost up the dinner menu with some new options. Breakfast and lunch will continue as they have been, though getting to Olive & Thyme will be much easier, with more parking and more seating inside.
