Darren's Restaurant, a long time Manhattan Beach institution from owner Darren Weiss, decided things needed a little refresh after running along since 2007. After a two-week renovation, the layout, interior, and menu all got updates for the re-opening on July 11. First, small and large plates that are mainly meant to be shared while a floor-to-ceiling glass exterior beckons diners in from the street while a European style decor maintains a casual feel. Open Monday to Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
