Inaugural MPK Night Market Hits Monterey Park July 25

The crowded night market scene just got a little more company. Though the 626 Night Market returns to Santa Anita Park this weekend, KCM Agency, the event production and marketing team behind the KTown Night Market and Kollaboration will be attempt to spice up the nightlife in Monterey Park next week with the inaugural MPK Night Market.

For those reluctant to travel out to Arcadia, the MPK Night Market will be held at Barnes Park in Monterey Park on July 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event will recur monthly with dates on July 25, August 22 and September 19.

In addition to carnival games, shopping, art exhibitions and street food vendors, the MPK Night Market will feature Monterey Park's first-ever beer and wine garden in a public park. As for the food, Tanota Takoyaki, Aunty Merry, Fluff Ice and GP Bakery have been among the vendors confirmed, with more vendors to be confirmed next week.

According to the press release, the Monterey Park Farmer's Market will also remain open through part of the event. Entry to the inaugural event will be free of charge. [EaterWire]
