Phillip Frankland Lee of Scratch Bar is returning to the Valley in this newest venture, The Gadarene Swine, inside the former Eggplant Space in Studio City. The ABC listing lists Scratch Bar partner Daryoush Danesh as the principal, with a 41 license to serve beer and wine. Note that Gadarene is a reference to the Bible when Jesus sends the "legion" of demons to a herd of swine that eventually drown themselves in the lake. Does that mean sous-vide pork chop? Probably not, but at least the name's clever. No word on the opening date at the moment.
