Brunch At The Gorbals; BarNine's New Menu

DOWNTOWN—Kris Morningstar, who recently decamped from Ray's & Stark Bar, is currently spearheading the weekend brunch program at The Gorbals, with a brand new menuthat features the likes of crispy pork belly, chicken & grits, french toast with sea salt caramel butter, and smoked beef brisket hash. CULVER CITY—BarNine Collective is launching a new food menufrom chef Gavin Lonsdale, previously of the late Ford's Filling Station, who will produce dishes like savory toast (a must these days, and no doubt a nod to SF's The Mill), oatmeal, farro salad, heirloom tomato salad, and a prociutto "PLTA" sandwich. Breakfast runs 7:30 to 11 a.m. with lunch going until 4 p.m. Brunch is served 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. [ELA]
