Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Finally, after a long build out in the old XIV building, HYDE Sunset: Kitchen & Cocktails is ready to serve the willing denizens of Sunset Strip. Commencing service on July 20, the rather gorgeous interior, which can accommodate 300, will be sure to turn a few heads with its modern elegant look and handcrafted appointments designed by Waldo Fernandez. Top Chef alum Chris Crary's menu can be seen right here, boasting about 20 some shareable plates. Throw in some murals by Gregory Siff and photographs dotting the space by Tyler Shields, and you have what might be SBE's most complete restaurant since The Bazaar opened inside the SLS.
