DOWNTOWN—Commercial Exchange, a longtime dormant building in South Park, is becoming a higher end hostel from The Sydell Group, who also did The Line Hotel in Koreatown. Included in the plans is a restaurant, bar and rooftop lounge.

DOWNTOWN—Barker Block is selling swiftly and at very high prices, boding well for the Arts District dining scene.

BEVERLY CENTER—A nice-looking mixed use is heading to West Hollywood's bustling design district, with restaurants and other ground floor retail planned.
