Julian Cox, Josh Goldman Tapping Brilliantshine in SaMo

Big time breaking cocktail news. Soigne Group's Julian Cox and Josh Goldman, the brilliant bartending team behind everything from Picca and Sotto to Acabar and Circa, are opening Brilliantshine in Santa Monica in the same building as the former Renee's Courtyard (and exactly behind Tinga). An opening date hasn't been set, but it should be very soon as previews commence over the weekend. Just like that, Santa Monica lands two top-notch cocktail bars (the first shot came from Steve Livigni and Pablo Moix at nearby The Chestnut Club).

In terms of concept, there isn't much said except "a local Santa Monica hang with the craft whiskey obsession," on the Instagram page. This marks the first bar by Cox and Goldman, who had been talking about doing their own place since late last year.
