After five years in Studio City, Sun Cafe uprooted and moved down the block to a new space opening today. With a spacious outdoor patio for soaking up the sun's rays, and an eclectic plant-based menu of things like raw pad thai, BLT with tempeh bacon, and a slew of pizzas, it's easy for even meat eaters to hang out a while. Sip on beer and wines while noshing on a farmer's market pizza, topped with figs, arugula, and balsamic. Founded by Ron Russell and Rebecca Smith, the ranch-style house composed of mostly handmade materials has an easy-going, lower Valley vibe that should be a hit with locals. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, and until 11 p.m. on weekends. http://la.eater.com/tags/sun-cafe
