Vertical Wine Bistro, which debuted in 2006, is up for sale after a nearly 8 year effort to build up a solid clientele in Old Town Pasadena. This business listing shows pretty clearly that the space is up for grabs for a mere $399,000, which includes not only a 47 license for food & liquor, but a 48, which would allow the place to serve full booze without having to serve food (though the option remains). Along with the 35er, it's one of only two spots in Old Town with a full 48. At the botttom of the listing, it shows the reason for selling as "relocation," which might indicate that Vertical Wine bistro is looking for other digs.

In 2009, owner Gale Ann Hurd (executive producer of The Walking Dead, among many film and TV projects) hired on David Haskell and Doug Weston to revamp the food and beverage program. More recently Hurd partnered with Laurent Quenioux to produce yet another revamped menu with some more creative pop-ups.
