McConnell's Ice Cream Scooping at GCM Starting July 28

McConnell's Ice Cream, the Santa Barbara transplant that took over a former dessert shop deep inside Grand Central Market, officially commences service on July 28, though over the weekend they'll be serving from their truck around town. On July 26, they'll scoop on Abbot Kinney starting at 10:30 a.m., then move over Whole Foods on 3rd and Fairfax, Larchmont (right there in Salt & Straw territory), and finally at Grand Central Market.

And as a freebie bonus, they'll serve free scoops of ice cream from 7 to 9 p.m. on July 31 to commemorate the opening. Not a bad way to land in L.A.
