Atticus Creamery and Pies Churning Up in West LA

Welcome Atticus Creamery and Pies, a new ice cream shop on Pico's restaurant row with its sign posted, looking almost ready for business. The Craig's list ad here, says they are hiring and will open at the end of this month. Atticus has taken the place of Maddy's, which was a vegan cafe, but featured vegan ice creams and desserts. Also, since It's on the same block as Cold Stone Creamery, those leaving The Landmark Theatre or Westside Pavilion in the mood for a tasty and cold treat this Summer, will have one more ice cream option.

Atticus's motto is "making ice creams and pies on site, in small batches and fresh each day using carefully selected ingredients." No word on what kinds of flavors yet, but samples will be given, and pies will be made from scratch. Vegan ice cream didn't work out, let's see if Atticus's Artisan ice cream will. — Keyla Vasconcellos
