Welcome Poppy + Rose to Downtown's Flower District, nestled into a streetside morning and afternoon cafe on Wall Street opened by husband and wife team Ryan and Diana Lamon. Partnering with Michael Reed, this former Mexican restaurant officially opened July 26 with fresh takes on American comfort food, like biscuits and gravy, a rib-tips breakfast burrito, buttermilk fried chicken (with waffle), pulled pork hash, and eggs benedict.

For lunch, straightforward offerings like burgers, grilled cheeeses, patty melts and cobb salads. Throw in some pastries, Forge coffee, and other grab-and-go items, and it's a fine departure from the otherwise nameless fare in the area. Poppy + Rose serves Monday to Saturday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., making it the perfect place to drop by after picking up some freshly cut flowers.
