Red Bread, that socially conscious Westside baking operation with a tiny storefront in Culver City and a stall at the Wednesday Santa Monica Farmers Market, is moving just one year after their debut. Unexpected news comes just now via Instagram that the Culver City location on Washington Boulevard will be closing up shop at the end of the day in favor of newer digs elsewhere. That means today is the last day to enjoy Red Bread in its Culver City current brick & mortar.
No official word yet on when -- or where -- the updated spot will drop, but it's likely to be an upgrade from their existing shoebox, which was barely wider than a couple of baguettes. Long considered to be one of the best bakeries in town, it'd be a good idea for anyone craving sustainable breads, pastries, charcuterie or brunch classics to make their way to Red Bread Culver City as soon as possible today.—Farley Elliott
