Malibu's BeauRivage Fusing Into Ranch at Solstice Canyon

New, 7 comments

Remember when Malibu's BeauRivage Restaurant caught on fire two years ago? Well, now it is resurfacing as The Ranch at Solstice Canyon with a four-in-one concept. Garner Gerson and family (The Basement and Malibu Cafe), from Calamigos Ranch, are behind the new space, which opens August 1.

Within these eight acres of beautiful land facing the Pacific Ocean is Malibu Roadhouse, a spacious and airy restaurant, opening this Friday for a friends and family night. Starting this weekend, doors will open to the public for brunch and dinner. Chef James King (SLS Hotel Beverly Hills) will helm the completely rebuilt kitchen. Malibu Roadhouse will serve Southern California Beach Cuisine including seafood and steak items, but no word on specifics just yet.

Besides Malibu Roadhouse, Driftwood Bar will be an addition at some point, including an outside lounge area to hang out and enjoy ocean views and cocktails. Another plan expected to open sometime soon is a beer tasting room. Lastly, Otte Calamigos, a beachy retail shop, selling clothes and surfboards will also be on the property. Starting with the restaurant, the hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with lunch and dinner served Tuesday through Friday and brunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.
