Hamburger Hamlet Rising From Dead in Sherman Oaks

When the news came two weeks ago that the last Hamburger Hamlet was closing, it seemed very unlikely that it would open again as the same concept. Rumors swirled that the operation was laden with debt problems though a note on the door did that that new ownership and management would take over the space. Here now, a post by Marty Wekser on Vintage LA's Facebook page that says that Hamburger Hamlet is planning to re-open later this week with mostly the same staff.

Last week, the Daily News also reported that Hamburger Hamlet was planning a return despite a recent bankruptcy filing by former owner Hamlet Group, Inc. According to the new owners, everything will stay the same. But will nostalgia manage to keep the place open for good this time?
