Spacecraft Going Anti-Cute With Sugar Mamas Cupcakes

Spacecraft keeps throwing off new concepts, this time a cupcakery called Sugar Mamas that will be the design opposite of the likes of Sprinkles. Instead of white inside, think full blacked out interiors, from black-stained oak and black granite countertops. Think of it like the anti-Tiffany, with dark accents all around and frosted cupcakes presented in jewelry-boxes. Sugar Mamas is slated to open some time in the fall in a 500 square foot space.

Kris Keith's studio hasn't been afraid to bust out the dark tones, as shown recently in Hollywood's Ball & Chain, which looks like a subway tunnel while BO-Beau in Long Beach and Cho Oishi certainly have enough black paint to fill the room.
