Cube, the neighborhood Italian marketplace and cafe on La Brea next to Bludso's Bar & Que, is closing on July 16 for a remodel, says a newsletter that went out late last week. Rumors of its temporary shutter swirled around for days while word on the street is that the concept will shift a bit from the American-Italian menu offered at the moment. Last year, longtime chef Erin Eastland left the spot to helm the kitchens at Milo & Olive. No word on when it'll re-open, but hopefully the casual vibe and expansive wine selection sticks around.
