Rather sad news about the first Urban Fruit Trail that was planted recently at Lafeyette Park. LA Mag reports that the orchard was vandalized and mostly destroyed two nights ago, with only 28 trees of the 150 stone fruit and citrus trees remaining. The Heart of LA youth program, which originally planted the trees, is going to continue growing the trail despite the setback. [LA Mag]
