It looks like The Springs, that Arts District holistic megaplex that's been in the works since the beginning of the year, is taking shape nicely. Last we checked, the outside was boarded up completely, with little more than a banner covering the old signage to indicate the sprawling space to come.

The Design, Bitches team has been hard at work rehabbing the Mateo St. location, which is set to include a 100% raw, vegan restaurant helmed by chefs Michael Falso and Ian Martin, of Planet Raw and M.A.K.E. There will also be a fresh-press juice bar on site, several holistic treatment rooms and enough square footage for groups of yoga-mat-carrying downtowners to get their Downward Dog on. Expect a soft opening later this month, with a grand (though very earth-friendly) Labor Day party to officially christen the space.
