Chop Daddy's Is Going Big with AdVantage Partnership

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Chop Daddy's, formerly Pork Belly's, is now partnering up with Adam Fleischman and Lee Weinberg's AdVantage Restaurant Partners to refine the fast-casual concept and enable it to expand to multiple units. Fleischman's already struck gold with his Umami Burger and 800 Degrees concepts, so this barbecue sandwich joint will surely get the standardized treatment from one of the best in the business.

Jon Swire opened Chop Daddy's back in 2013 on Abbot Kinney, along with pitmaster Eric Solton, adding a meaty component to the juice and health-food laden block in Venice. Over time, AdVantage will help Chop Daddy's develop a bar program, secure financing, scout locations, and open up to 12 locations across California.
