The popular Vietnamese restaurant Mama Hong's Kitchen in Burbank is opening a West LA location on August 26, taking the place of another Vietnamese restaurant, Pho 99 Noodle and Grill. Lan Pham is a third generation restaurateur and most of the menu is made from his mother's family recipes, which is why the restaurant name is dedicated to her.
The menu consists of Shaken Beef Tenderloin Fries, Premium Sliced Filet Mignon Pho, Banh Mi Sandwiches, and Vermicelli (soft rice noodles) with shredded leaf lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots and cucumbers topped with your choice of meat from the grill. Finish it all with a Vietnamese coffee served with sweetened condensed milk. Check out the rest of the menu here.
Mama Hong's is located in the Granville Plaza and will open Sunday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday the hours will be 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. With super affordable prices and Vietnamese cuisine on the Westside being limited, the eatery is set up for success. — Keyla Vasconcellos
