TLT Food Bites DT Dust, Hummus Republic Invades

TLT Food, the offshoot of the Lime Truck's Westwood brick & mortar along 7th Street, is now closed, according to a tipster. An Yelp inquiry to management has yielded a response to the closure: "The rumors are true, and the location at 225 W 7th is now closed. We have found a bigger and better opportunity in the DTLA area that will better reflect our values and the service experience of our brand." So that kind of terrible spot nearby Financial and Jewelry District didn't work out for TLT. Any guesses as to where they're land next? Arts District? Historic Core? For those interested, the Westwood shop is sticking around for now.

In the meantime a new spot called The Hummus Republic is taking its spot. With two locations in the Conejo Valley, it's a popular fast-casual falafel place. At the moment, they're hiring cooks and front of house staff.
