Lexington Social House Fades To Black in Hollywood

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Lexington Social House, the Hollywood restaurant and bar that most recently had a chef shuffle last August, appears to be down for the count. Staff was notified yesterday that it was closed until further notice. The phone also seems to be disconnected. The sceney hotspot first appeared on Vine back in 2011, with notable chef Mette Williams taking the helm of the kitchen before moving onto Areal (and finally landing at Culina at the Four Seasons).

A tipster writes in to question whether staff or vendors will be paid what they're owed, while the rumor that the place was going to transition over to a French bistro concept still stands. Note also that Marissa Tomei's brother, Adam, was temporarily a pizzaiolo there around May 2012.
