How interesting. Remember when longtime Westwood restaurant Mio Babbo switched to Donna Sophia Trattoria at the beginning of the year? Well, it is flipping once again, and this time into House of Meatballs. No word on when the actual opening will be, but construction is currently underway. The Morra Family is behind the variety of different Italian concepts at the Westwood space. Pasquale and Anna Morra will own the eatery and brother Antonio Morra will be the Executive Chef. Other restaurants they have been involved in include DaPasquale, Brunello, TOTO, and Osteria Nonna.
According to their Facebook page , House of Meatballs will have homemade meatballs, but not the typical kind one would expect. The Morra's family recipes will cater to the general public's tastes, and only the freshest locally grown ingredients will be used. Their motto is "Our meatballs have always been shared with the neighborhood, and we see no reason why we can't share the joy of a simple meatball with you."
