Hakkasan knew it had a pretty stunning interior when it opened last year, but one thing it lacked and realized it needed to have done, was a bar makeover. With an expanded seated section, Hakkasan now has that perfect lounge-y vibe that seems to draw in the glitz and glamour that Beverly Hills is known for. The rest of the place remains mostly the same, with divisions that prevent too much celebrity gawking. This 90210 branch now has the overall feel of the London original, with ostrich slate panels lining the dramatic entrance. Re-opening tonight, be sure to order one of those smoked Negronis if you're in the mood.
The menu retains the same, high-end Cantonese fare, though from September 29 to October 12, chef Ho Chee Boon is doing a $138 menu that includes Peking duck with caviar, dim sum, and abalone fried rice.
