Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

With a relatively quick turnaround, The Little Door has expanded westward to Santa Monica in the old Villetta space. Opening tonight, the same, charming French country vibe takes place here, making it one of the hottest new date spots to hit the Westside in a while. That patio, rife with blue hues and tasteful accents, is sure to become the place to see and be seen, while the fare from chef T. Nicholas Peter (and chef de cuisine Armando Garcia) replicates the same, Moroccan-French menu.

Bartender Michael Gannon also puts together some swanky mixed drinks like a strawberry margarita or the Grandfather, pairing bourbon, calvados, and Carpano Antica. Waltz around the interior, and sit down next to the flowers for the perfect night out.
