Formerly a food truck and farmers market staple, Mac-O-Licious is headed into Valley Village, with a storefront opening next week. As LA Mag first reported, the new restaurant on Laurel Canyon near Magnolia sits in the old Al Amir Lebanese space, which closed back in July. Owner Kelly Chapman recently took the Mac-O-Licious concept onto the show Restaurant Start Up, and is now well underway with family & friends nights.

Carb-hungry Valleyites can expect the usual slew of exotic, oven-baked mac 'n' cheese, plus a Saturday and Sunday breakfast menu that leans heavier on the bacon and eggs. Look for an official Mac-O-Licious opening mid-next week.
