Aharon Coffee Starts Brewing Thursday in Beverly Hills

After Graffeo closed in the Golden Triangle, a new coffee roasting player hits Beverly Hills.

Roastmaster Aharon Vaknin and his wife, BatSheva, are opening their first specialty coffee shop, Aharon Coffee & Roasting Company, in Beverly Hills. They had a successful soft opening and will host a grand opening this Thursday, where customers can sample their house-roasted coffees. Vaknin prides himself on offering coffee beans from different parts of the world including South America and Africa. Aharon Coffee specializes on many different styles of coffee, like pour overs, french press, chemex and siphon styles of hand brewed coffee by the cup.

All espresso shots are pulled ristretto, meaning a short shot of espresso made with the normal amount of coffee but half the amount of water, for a bolder and stronger taste. What makes Vaknin's roast different than most? He uses techniques to insure the coffee beans become a lighter roast, for a less bitter taste than darker roasts.
`
The menu consists of cold brew coffee, teas, and specialty lattes, where they make chocolate, caramel and vanilla sauces from scratch using the highest grade ingredients possible. Pastries come from Milo and Olive, where apple cinnamon muffins and chocolate nut biscotti's can be paired with their artisanal coffee. Whole sale beans are available as well for purchase. What the Vaknin's are most hopeful for is that their customers experience the joy of coffee. The hours will be Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday Sunday 6:30 a.m to 6:00 p.m. More info on their Facebook page here.
