Rare By Drai's Dunzo After Nine Months on Sunset Strip

New, 7 comments

Victor Drai's West Hollywood steakhouse didn't even make it ten months on Sunset Strip in the former BLT Steak space.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Victor Drai just can't get a break in L.A. Less than a year after opening in the former BLT Steak space on Sunset Strip, his Rare by Drai's Steakhouse is now dunzo, reports multiple tipsters. A check on OpenTable showed no available tables in the future, and phone calls to the restaurant went without an answer. Even a schilltastic review by Jay Weston on HuffPo couldn't save the venture, which had all the trappings of a typical scene-driven West Hollywood restaurant. What's going into that rather large building next? Any tips would be welcome in the comments.
