Most of the city's restaurant attention tends toward the Westside, Mid-City, and Downtown, but what about the Eastside? That hipster sliver that is Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and Echo Park (as well as parts of East Hollywood and Koreatown) often don't get the recognition it deserves. Here's where this new food fest, iHeartSilverLake steps in, which is presented by Mack Sennett Studios, Castle Gourmet Dining, and Food is the New Rock.

Taking place November 9 from 4 to 8 p.m., the moderately priced festival (at least right now, before prices go up on October 15), will feature chefs, restaurants, DJs, musicians, and other guest appearances. While food is a major player here, also consider live music from local DJs, discussion panels with artists and musicians, and chef demos. Right now participating restaurants include: Black Cat, Elf, Guelaguetza, L&E Oyster Bar, Pine & Crane, El Condor, Little Beast, Donut Friend, Better Bouch, and The Oinkster. Pick up tickets here and pull out those black skinny jeans and leather jackets.
