Meizhou Dongpo opened to a rather tepid reception when it opened in the Westfield Century City, but another huge location is slated for Westfield's Santa Anita Promenade, right next to Hai Di Lao, the high end hot pot place lauded by Jonathan Gold. Meizhou's second L.A. outlet will likely eclipse the original in size, though the placement next to another high end Chinese eatery does seem to indicate Westfield's willingness to adapt to the local environment. No word on the opening date as the plywood completely covers any construction work, but the signs do point to some time in 2015.
