Steven Arroyo's Escuela Taqueria Opens Second Outlet in Old Town Pasadena

The Beverly Blvd taco joint is now open in Old Town Pasadena with a handy selection of Americanized tacos.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Escuela Taqueria's been long in the works in Old Town, but things started cooking up late last week when Steven Arroyo's casual concept opened quietly in Old Town Pasadena's One Colorado. Offering a similar menu of tacos, from poblano chiles, carne asada, pork ribs, and carnitas, the bill of fare extends to some such oddities as marinaded jidori chicken, lobster, branzino and langostino. Also, consider the burritos, stuffd with chicken tinga or shrimp, and a small selection of plates and salads. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
