Bachi Burger, the long-awaited Las Vegas offshoot that's been trying to open on Sawtelle for the better part of a year, is almost completely built out and ready for business. Apparently the wait was long because of the full liquor license the restaurant was trying to obtain. Inside, a tightly packed dining room with heavy wooden chairs and dark painted walls.
The menu, which will likely reflect many of the dishes from the Vegas original, looks a bit like an upgraded Fukuburger, or perhaps a Japanese slant on Umami Burger's creations. Highlights include a Wagyu grass-fed patty with sauteed mushrooms, spinach, bacon, Point Reyes blue cheese, and roasted garlic. Either way, this joint will occupy some of the most prized restaurant real estate in the city when it finally opens.
