Looks like those Downtown rumors were true for Adam Fleischman and Walter el Nagar's co-creation Barbería. The Italian concept from the Milan-raised chef of Barbershop Ristorante fame will officially land on Hope Street.
Barbería, the Spanish word for barbershop, has no announced arrival timetable, other than "coming soon."
El Nagar will receive wisdom from Umami Burger and 800 Degrees Pizza honcho Adam Fleischman, who is putting the weight of his AdVantage Restaurant Partners development company behind the project.
To catch an early taste, Barbería will host a limited time, Transition Project "omakase-style preview" at a hidden art space on 5220 W. Jefferson Blvd.. The six nights of events begins Sept. 10. priced at $75.
