The Roost at LA Farm Replacing Stefan's in Santa Monica

New, 3 comments

LA Farm in Santa Monica is working quickly to switch concepts and will reopen as The Roost at LA Farm on September 16th. What was once Stefan's at LA Farm, by Stefan Richter (Top Chef Alum), now under new management, will be a completely redesigned menu. Chef John Keenan, once the chef de cuisine at Craft and most recently the executive chef of Soho House, will helm the kitchen. The Roost will incorporate a rustic, refined and seasonal American approach with an international wine selection and an inventive seasonal cocktail menu. The contemporary farmhouse decor will stick around.

Nestled away in the Lantana property in Santa Monica, start dinner off with Veal Sweetbreads with spring onion, rosemary and maple syrup waffle. For the second course, choose between items like Lobster Ravioli or Diver Sea Scallops with corn pudding and truffles. Bar food will also be an option, if one wants a quick bite. Choices include fried oysters, deviled eggs with pork belly, and a burger with Gruyere, smoked Gouda, arugula, onions and an aioli. Find the rest of the menu here.

LA Farm will continue to be open for lunch and dinner until The Roost debuts Sept. 16th. Hours are 11 a.m to 4 p.m for Lunch and 5:30 p.m to 10 p.m for Dinner. A Happy Hour Menu will also be incorporated Mon-Fri from 4 p.m to 8 p.m with $2 off all bar items and well drinks, beers, house wines for $5. —Keyla Vasconcellos
