After re-opening Hamburger Hamlet, they've dropped their claim on the former Pinot Bistro space.

Killer Shrimp, which made a big splash late last year to take over the former Hamburger Hamlet and revive the beloved brand from an untimely end, has pulled out of their claim on the former Pinot Bistro/Ye Olde King's Head space on Ventura Blvd.

There isn't any explanation at the moment except that their ABC license for a full 47 was withdrawn. Was this because of a lease negotiation that went sour? Or did the group find a better location for their populist surf-and-turf concept? Either way, it's on small setback for Studio City/Sherman Oaks, a part of town that's quickly becoming the hottest new place for restaurants in Los Angeles. Does anyone else want to grab that prime spot?
