Eric Greenspan Launching Grilled Cheese Pop-Up at Westfield Century City

New, 1 comment

The sandwich pop-up runs through the end of March.

It’s back to the streets for Eric Greenspan and his well-known grilled cheese sandwiches, which first earned melty praise at Los Angeles’ long lost Grilled Cheese Invitational. Well, not the streets exactly — the chef/TV personality is pulling a pop-up at the Westfield Century City through March mid-April.

The Paris-trained Iron Chef winner has already established himself as a venerated source for all things grilled cheese, most recently at his namesake Greenspan’s Grilled Cheese shop on Melrose and The Roof on Wilshire.

For his Westfield pop-up, Greenspan will be setting down stakes at the second level Dining Terrace daily, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m, with extended weekend hours. The shop will rotate through a bunch of unique sandwich iterations — some savory, some sweet — that are meant for the grab and go set, plus salads, sides and a slew of other desserts. There’s even a special-to-Westfield melt comprised of short rib, red onions, tomato and garlic aioli.

Due to some inspection issues, Greenspan's grilled cheese pop-up will actually begin Thursday, January 22, but will extend until mid-April, in celebration of Grilled Cheese month.
