Barrel Down, A Beer Hall Taps Into Downtown in February

American craft beers your thing? Barrel Down is set to open next month.

Downtown LA hopes to gain an American craft beer and small-batch spirits focused bar and restaurant named Barrel Down this February. It'll boast a casual but creative menu, emphasizing food pairings with a variety of beers on tap.

Some of the Barrel Down family includes Beertenders Herb Agner and Dylan Snyder (Sixth Street Tavern, Laurel Tavern, Spring Street Bar and Library Bar) who will integrate the drink program. Additionally, a Kickstarter launched yesterday for those wanting to join the community and donate money. With a slew of pledge prizes to choose from, the donations will be used to finish the construction of their upstairs mezzanine/loft area, which overlooks the main bar.

No word on the exact opening day of Barrel Down, though beer aficionados should gear up. The beer hall will be a great new spot to the burgeoning 7th Street area. And don't forget, Manhattan Beach's Little Sister will be another addition to look forward to this Spring.
