Simmzy's Ready To Launch Populist Pub in Burbank Tonight

The popular South Bay pub brings craft beer and fine burgers to Burbank.

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Simmzy's, which has two popular gastropubs down in Manhattan Beach and Long Beach, is finally ready for its inland debut in Burbank next to studios and offices galore. Scheduled to open tonight, the stand-alone building has the colorful, beachy vibe of the original, with some more space to stretch out across two floors. On the menu, expect the spot-on Simmzy's burger, plus the spice & vinegar pulled pork sandwiches.

This Simmzy's location will be the first with a full liquor license, so there's "build a mules" as well as a bloody Simmzy that's ripe for brunch time. Of course, the main beverages still center around craft beer, and the likes of Golden Road and Macleod Ales star on the tap list. Brothers Mike and Chris Simms, along with father Tom, are investing big time in a part of Burbank that's just starving for some quality offerings.

Open daily 11 a.m. to midnight.
