Ever since Eater LA first broke news of the crowdfunding campaign to launch the first ever Dog Café, an outpouring of contributions is making this dream a reality. With the hopes of attaining the remaining funds necessary to break ground, animal rescuer Sarah Wolfgang will be hosting a Pup-Up, a pop up of The Dog Café, from January 22 to January 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Downtown.
As a refresher, The Dog Café's mission is to unite potential adopters with their future dog. With beverages supplied by Grounds & Hounds, the coffee company that donates 20% of its proceeds to local animal rescues, dog lovers can spend some quality time with animals in need of a new home all while sipping a steaming cappuccino.
Pre-sale tickets are $20 and include a cup of coffee from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and can be purchased on The Dog Cafe's IndieGoGo fundraising page. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $15, with coffee available separately.
Whether you're in the market for a new pup or just enjoy a nice cup of fair trade coffee and the company of furry friends, this is your chance to help make history by finally bringing the first ever Dog Café to Los Angeles.
