Count it a big loss for Venice when someone like Lincoln Carson leaves Superba Food + Bread. The opening pastry chef, who hailed from the Bay Area, is leaving the American Gonzo Corp production to return to Michael Mina's dining group. Apparently the reason for the departure was that it wasn't a good fit.
Also, the Michael Mina gig is a four month consulting gig that will allow Carson to eventually develop a standalone and replicable patisserie concept.
