STUDIO CITY— Phillip Frankland Lee thinks that the front of house gets it good in the restaurant industry. So he wants to flip things around and give back to the back of house, traditionally the line cooks, dishwashers, and more. During the month of February, step into either The Gadarene Swine in Studio City or Scratch Bar in Beverly Hills and be eligible for a free six course tasting menu. All you have to do is bring a paystub to prove employment and a great tasting menu (not quite as long as this one) is yours to enjoy.
In addition, anyone who joins said BOH member can enjoy a meal at 50% off (though any beverages will be at full price). This might be one of the more unique ways of giving back to the unsung members of the restaurant industry who work in the kitchen. It's not quite a separate tipline on the check, but it's certainly a nice way for hardworking individuals to enjoy a great tasting menu.
