Milk and fruit teas are all the rage in Asia, and the penchant for those little balls of chewy boba is most definitely spreading (again) across Los Angeles. While there have always been boba hubs in areas like Koreatown and Little Tokyo, Toddrickallen reports that Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, a prolific Taiwanese-based chain with locations around the world, is just about ready to bring its assortment of teas and slushies to Westwood in the old Honeymade spot.
This will be Coco's second location in Los Angeles, with an outlet currently on Sawtelle. Expect to see standard milk tea flavors like original with pearls (boba) or grass jelly, and hopefully the fresh squeezed grapefruit variety ever so popular at the Sawtelle location. While there is no word on the official opening date, it looks like locals will be able to get a taste of Coco's sweet teas very soon.
