Lindy & Grundy sadly closed last year after a nearly three year run on Fairfax. While dynamic butchers Amelia Posada and Erika Nakamura were presenting some of the best sustainable meats in town, Michael Cimarusti has a completely different plan.
Lindy & Grundy will become Cape Seafood and Provisions, a top-flight seafood shop where customers can pick up fresh, sustainable seafood. Expect the same quality that one might see at Cimarusti's Connie & Ted's or Providence, but available to take home. An opening is slated for Spring 2015.
Partnering with Donato Poto and Cristina Echiverri, along with Craig and Amy Nickeloff, Cape Seafood will offering whole fish and custom cut filets, while harder to find items can almost certainly be acquired within 48 hours. In addition to seafood, Cimarusti will offer natural and USDA prime steaks and cuts from West Coast Prime Meats.
