Spread PB, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich bar, officially opens January 10 in Studio City serving what might be the most simple childhood food of all time. Priced at $6.95 with a choice of spread and two toppings, it's also a little bit absurd. Sure, the options are plenty, such as tortillas, bagels, hot dog buns (really?), celery sticks (woah), and of course plainer items like white, wheat, cinnamon raisin bread. Since we're in the middle of a wheat-hating revolution, there's also gluten free bread (for a $1.45 surcharge).

From there, choose a peanut butter spread, and here's where things get fairly interesting. There's plain ol' Skippy-like peanut butter, then more complex offerings such as maple almond, dark chocolate, chunky banana, maple bacon, and even green curry. Polish the build-a-sandwich with apricot jam, granola, marshmallows, and basically a few dozen other items that would make for an after school delight.
