El Condor Refreshes Interior to Accommodate More Imbibers in Silver Lake

The upstairs and downstairs bars are much better for sipping mezcal late into the evenings.

El Condor got a nifty upgrade last year to reveal a bright, colorful interior that replaced the old El Conquistador on Sunset Blvd. And just over the past week, new owners Dustin Lancaster and Tyler Bell revamped the bars downstairs and upstairs to accommodate the burgeoning number of imbibers who stop by on any given night.

First the upstairs, which still feels like a bit of a private balcony, but has larger windows that give way to Sunset Blvd instead of the old-school frosted glass. There's also a 12 person table that makes it a little easier to have private parties or dine in larger groups.

Downstairs, the number of seats at the bar have been doubled, making it easier to sip on margaritas or drams of mezcal. As for the fare, the menu's now a little more streamlined, with more of the favorites and best sellers to make it easier to experience the place in one fell swoop. Check out the recent remodel and tip your hat to better design.
