Burgerlords Now Serving Double Cheeseburgers in Chinatown

From Tumblr to burger window.

Well it didn't take long for the intrepid Burgerlords crew to start flipping patties in Chinatown. Following the announcement of their arrival just one month ago the team is up and fully operational on Broadway, right next to Mandarin Plaza.

Their corner location is set just off the street and still has some fine-tuning to do (a lightboard menu and some permanent seating on their small square patio are still en route) but for now it's all about the burgers, offered as simple singles or cheesy doubles, with a vegan option to boot — and, of course, fries. What's even better: there isn't anything on the menu over $7, and fries/drinks combos cost just an additional $3.

It should come as no surprise that the Guerrero brothers Fred and Max behind Burgerlords (and their long-successful online Burgerlords presence) have a way with both beef and bun. The pair helped their father open The Oinkster in Eagle Rock (and Hollywood), and worked there collectively for years.

Now they and partner Kevin Hockin have taken their talents to a smaller space that's mostly suitable for takeaway orders. But in the next several months the new apartment building across the street should be finished, Pok Pok should be open, and that strip of Chinatown will be bursting with life (and burger-eaters).

Burgerlords is currently soft open, with hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. And yes, they'll be serving during CicLAvia. Eventually they'll be grilling up seven days a week.
